Association of Disabled Care (ADC) was founded in Kaunas in 2012. The establishment of Association was resulted by lack of information, lack of experience in solving the problems of the disabled.

Especially, when the problems are new. My own father had a strong Alzheimer's disease in old age. And it caused many questions at the beggining. Where to go? Who will help? Who can advise you? Where to get at least a little bit of information about disabled? Where to call and etc.? That cause uncertainty, stress and at the end it cost a lot. And there is a thousand of such people (families), who has these problems  in Lithuania.

Our country Lithuania does not have enough resources to all disabled persons (families) to help. We should start from ourselves - to notice the disabled person, to ask him if he need a help, to help him (bring something, talk with him and etc.). If you change nothing, nothing will change.

All charity campaigns for Christmas, Easter, etc. are welcome. But this doesn't solve ordinary and daily problems of the disabled person. The aim of the Association is to to unite the enterprises, institutions, scientists and people, who have various ideas, how to facilitate disability. Acting together we can achieve our goals.

The most important thing for our Association is direct information from people with disabilities. It is very important to find out their needs, what services they need, what could be adapted to their living environment, which services could be free of charge and etc.

To achieve our goals, we try to carry out a variety of commercial activity and to use earned money for disability issues. We will colloborate with a number of companies, organizations, producers, the political forces. Besides that, we are going to cooporate with foreign structures, associations, who are working in the same field.

All discussions, ideas are welcome. That will be used for improving life of disabled people.
